JEFFREY C. GOELITZ practices in all areas of school, park district, and municipal law, including employment law, litigation, and board governance.  He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the National and Illinois Council of School Attorneys.  Mr. Goelitz is a speaker for the Illinois Administrator's Academy on acceptable use policies, records retention, and student and employee online misconduct. He presents to school administrators on the Open Meetings Act and the Freedom of Information Act.  Mr. Goelitz received his bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated cum laude in 2007 from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was a published member and writing competition coordinator for The Elder Law Journal.  He first worked at the firm as a summer associate in 2006.  Prior to law school, Mr. Goelitz was a middle school teacher and coach for three years in Champaign.  Mr. Goelitz was admitted to practice in 2007 and is admitted to Illinois state courts and the Northern District court.
