JAY R. KRANING is one of the foremost special education attorneys in the State of Illinois and a noted statewide speaker. Prior to joining the firm in 2003, he served for seven years with the Chicago Board of Education in its Department of Due Process and Mediation, the last six years as director of that department. As such, Mr. Kraning was directly involved with or supervised every due process hearing for the Chicago Public Schools, the third largest school district in the country. Mr. Kraning graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor's degree in education and received his law degree in 1985 from John Marshall Law School, where he was selected to the Order of John Marshall Honorary Society and graduated with distinction. In addition to his legal experiences, Mr. Kraning served five years as a public school teacher in Jefferson, Wisconsin. |
